I managed to snag this portrait of a young friend of mine as he was deeply engrossed in a homework assignment. Well, not really – school is out for the summer. He was probably comparing the latest cell phones to see what he should upgrade too. In any case, I really liked the ambient lighting and the look of intensity on his face. After the normal color correction activities in Lightroom, I used Nik Output Sharpener to sharpen up the eye and soften the skin. He had a bit of razor burn that that Lightroom adjustments really accentuated, but Nik took care of that quickly and easily.
Absolutely beautifully done ! One of these days I’ll learn how to edit like you do.
Hah! You should set your sights higher than that :) Seriously, my editing just comes from downloading trial versions of stuff and watching a couple of YouTube videos.
