Rolling Into The Country
Something a little different for me. I’ve played around with sepia before but never to this extent. I had a good shot laying around in the camera but it needed to be stylized somehow in order to transform the image from a standard snapshot into something that really draws the eye. I visualized something from the late 1800s, since exposure settings I used were similar to what would have been available back then. Rather than add grain to the image artificially as I’ve done in the past, I instead decided to oversharpen it, particularly since much of the detail in the trees was lost.

I think this works perfectly in sepia. Nice treatment.
Looks nice
This works very well. I like it a lot.
Outstanding work!
Thank you everyone! I’m coming to the conclusion that 80% of photography is knowing what effects to apply to an image ;)
Excellent. If this wasn’t sepia, it would just be a standard photo. So I agree with what you say: it’s important to know about effects and post-processing.
