There’s an old tractor at my brother-in-law’s farm that I tried desperately to get a good shot of last summer, but the sun was too high in the sky even at 6:15 PM and the shadows simply wouldn’t cooperate. This heavily-cropped image was the best that I could do, but after fiddling with sepia and grain, I arrived at something I was reasonably pleased with.

My parents have one of those tractors in their pasture. It represents an entire generation of hard-working people.
Yes, it’s a classic piece of equipment representing a classic time in our nation’s history.
I had a blue plastic tractor when I was a kid. That pretty much sums up my whole career when it comes to tractors.
To be honest, though I’ve lived all my life in Iowa I have never ridden on a tractor that I can recall :)
It works well with the Sepia and grain. I love that old look.
