Senior Peek
The photo I posted a week ago of a stunning sunrise inspired a friend of mine to have her daughter’s senior pictures taken in the early morning. In winter. I was pretty nervous about it because it seemed like a lot of things could go wrong, and outdoors before sunrise in January in Iowa seemed like an unusual opportunity for senior portraits. However, I rarely back down from a challenge that I think is at least plausible, so I took a couple of hundred photos of a lovely young lady at sunrise.
This portrait is a candid, impromptu moment and certainly not likely one to be chosen final senior portrait material. Nevertheless, as an artistic photo this is one of my favorites the morning’s shoot. She has such vibrance and is so full of life, and I think it all comes through beautifully in one glimpse of a mischievous eye.

Love it :)
Thanks :)
I think it’s a wonderful candid shot. Even if she doesn’t chose it for her portrait, but I hope she appreciates it from the artistic point of view.
Thanks! I have several more coming up that are more likely candidates…you can actually see her face in many of them :)
