The Family That Reads Together


You’ll notice who in the family is reading something of substance ;)

My recollection of this photograph is that I was just a second off from getting the picture I really wanted because the flash was recharging. It was a shame really because the boy’s eyes weren’t closed and it looked as though he really was reading the Sunday paper. Still, I think it represents a good, quiet family moment. And it’s better with the flash than most of the pictures I took that afternoon.

Technical Details: f/5.6; 1/200 exposure; ISO 800; 55 mm focal length

What’s Good: composition; lighting is decent

What’s Bad: Just a second late for “the” picture
